Here is a quick graph showing how the system worked:
After being downloaded the games would be saved to a flash cart similar to that of todays flash carts avaliable for systems such as the GameBoy Advance. This flash cart came included only with the "Deluxe System", the console itself contained a meagre 512k of memory so for some larger games this was not enough. The console used an adapter for the flash cart since the smaller carts that were used in the production were cheaper to make.Image of flash cart adapter + flash cart:
The titles released on the BS system fell into many different categories: * exclusive releases, new entries in established series available only on the BS-X; indeed they are still exclusive, as none have ever been rereleased as yet. * rereleases, exact replicas of the cartridge data of normal Super Famicom games, except in a format for broadcast over the satellite * remakes of previous Famicom games, often hugely enhanced, as in the cases of BS Zelda and BS Mario ExciteBike * remixed Super Famicom titles were occasionally released, as in the case of BS Zelda: Kodai no Sekiban * original creations; there were a handful of BS-X games that were not part of any established series. These are some of the titles that were avaliable via the BS download system: * BS Zelda * BS Zelda: Kodai no Sekiban * BS Super Mario USA - World 1 * BS Super Mario USA - World 2 * BS Super Mario USA - World 3 * BS Super Mario USA - World 4 * BS Super Mario USA - World 5 * BS Tantei Club Saihousou * ExciteBike: Bun Bun Mario Battle * ExciteBike: Bun Bun Mario Battle Stadium 2 * ExciteBike: Bun Bun Mario Battle Stadium 3 * ExciteBike: Bun Bun Mario Battle Stadium 4 * Mario Paint * Wario's Woods * Yoshi's Panepon * BS Fire Emblem Akaneia Senki 1 - Palace Kanraku * BS Fire Emblem Akaneia Senki 2 - Akai Ryuuki Shi * BS Fire Emblem Akaneia Senki 3 - Seigi no Tozokudan * BS Fire Emblem Akaneia Senki 4 - Hajimari no Toki * Special Tee Shot * F-Zero "2" BS * Radical Dreamers * BS Famicom Wars * Wrecking Crew '98 * BS Cu on Pa * BS Golf Out * BS Marvelous * BS Chrono Trigger Character Library * BS Chrono Trigger Music Library * BS Chrono Trigger Jet Bike Special * BS Let's Pachinko * BS Shubimano * BS Sutte Hakkon * BS Dragon Quest The BIOS for the attachment is avaliable in .smc format and is only playable on SNES9X Download it here Images of BIOS:

Note: If I have made any errors, repeat my self or spelling mistakes please tell me, also I do not believe my list of BS games is complete if someone could tell me of any that are perhaps missing? I will be updating this post later with more information and screenshots of the BS titles that are avaliable on ROM.Ta to Teflon for the BIOS, Eric and Sonicblur for the missing games.

Each map gave you a limited amount of units you could use for each chapter, ranging from Akaneia Senki 1 which gave you one Paladin, two Armour Knights, A Shaman, a Priest and a Archer to use. The games themselves were based off the sprite set used in Fire Emblem 3: Mystery of the Emblem (A combanation of FE1: The Dark Dragon and Sword Of Light and Fire Emblem Gaiden), the games were all one chapter long with a different set of character in each level, except for Akaneia Senki 4 which had the Priest from Akaneia Senki 1 re-appear.BS F Zero "2":F Zero 2 (Or BS F Zero Grand Prix 2) was a remix of the original F Zero for the SNES, it featured four cars from the original (with updated sprites) and one class and one set of tracks to begin with. The four tracks in the "Ace Leauge" were:Mute City IV
Big Blue II
Sand Storm I
Silence II
Sand Storm II
(I know this isn't much but there wasn't much else to say about them =/)Personal Note: Could some please translate the character names for me? I want to get hold of them for the FE website I run? I know its a bit cheeky but it would really be appreciated, thank you.
