So the new characters for 3 and 4 (Lisa, Kokoro, Hayate, Christie, Brad Wong, Eliot, Hitomi, and Alpha) all have remixes in the game they are not played except for Hitomi's. Spartan-458 does not have a remix.The remixes are most likely all based on the songs in 4; even though Hitomi had a song in 3, her remix is of her theme from 4, so I'm under the assumption that the same would apply to the others.BGM_eat? What the fuck? Amazing and Ringin' are probably Aerosmith songs... There are unused songs from 2 and 3 in the game for some reason. Someone crack this newer XSB/XWB format so I can listen to Alpha's remix! =(

No Zeck, I haven't tested RTM in DOA4 yet. I can't. The 360 hasn't been hacked. Unless you want to get me a 360 with a Samsung drive I can't even test my theory on that. I have put the files on the hdd in proper position (even tested several positions, like where patches are put so they're tied to the game and not just one gamertag) to no avail. Until signing is cracked or the 360 is hacked a lot more than it is now we are out of luck. Feel free to reverse engineer the file formats though, I've posted all of RTM's outfits in a RAR somewhere in the thread just look for it.

Hitachi dvd drive firmware hacked and released..........Urge to open Xbox 360... rising.There are two different versions of the Hitachi drive still, and you can't tell which is which until you open it... But still.... urgh..... I dont' know what to do. ;-;

Okay, some seriously show me how to start cracking file formats. The only file that is signed on any Xbox 360 game disc is the executable. I'd actually like to hack DOA4 into a more hardcore fighter than it is. DOA3.1 and 3.2 were more hardcore than this.... The game in previous stages (TGS, X05) was in better shape... but Itagaki is an idiot. He did the final testing of the game himself and ended up making it scrub friendly because he himself is a scrub that doesn't know how to play his own game.I know the 360 won't be cracked for some time but it wouldn't hurt to start figuring out the files now.I lack the programmer level intelligence to crack this shit so I need someone to hold my hand and show me through.

DOA3.0 = US versionDOA3.1 = JP versionDOA3.2 = EU version3.0 is garbage3.1 is significantly different in gameplay3.2 has minimal differences from 3.1

Possibly... Xbox game publishers decide whether or not a print is region locked. I think 3.1 might be locked but I don't think 3.2 is but I'm not 100% certain.

I've been wondering if the trigger to unlock Alpha-152 was still in the game and so I've been playing with the DOA4 save file. I have of course gotten no where so I'm asking for some help.I have enclosed two files in this archive: http://vonsteuben.cp...nskic/saves.rar1) ups.dat - this is my base save file it is a new game and only thing changed is player one's controls (I had to edit something to make sure it saved) and has nothing unlocked2) ups.datein - the same base file but I've played through story mode once with Hitomi to unlock a single character, EinI know shit about this kind of stuff.

Saves are probably CRC checked or compressed or something. I had that problem with Sonic Heroes saves at first. My solution was to use the Xbox remote debugger to change the values in ram, and have the game dumpthe save. In other words, I don't think there's an easy way to do that.

Interesting post you have here:DOA4 Hacking eh. the dmy.bin are self explanatory. they are placeholders inside the AFSv.2 archive. As the game uses indexing to access its files. Changing the indexing in the xbx will change the charaters, without troubles, except everything is signed, or in other words its sorta a CRC checked. There are alot of AFS's k easy > well maybe not.. but someone found found that if you compare the vertex data of the palyer models from DOAU and DOA4 you find something quite interesting. tecmo straight ported the models from DOA2U right to DOA4. Prolly to save on time, but the same models seem to re-ocuring in DOAX2 which is shame.. the girls have not gona any enhancments for awhile ;) K so you say WTF guy they're such a huge graphic change dick. yes what tecmo did was replaceall the heads, and set them into a seperate AFSv.2 archive. therefore the larger breakup, and more AFSv.2's. unfortunatly too bad all the files are signed to prevent modifcation, so you can't use the Optical Drive Hack to rip the game, and placy it back with your modifications like play as alpha. the siging will lock the game, apon failed check.ok more info on TPR. no way related to XPR the old doa3/doau format. by opening a TPR in a hexeditor, or any file at that matter you'll see nothing is encrypted.. why would it, its safelty protected by MS's signing. !!also digital signing was done by sony and i think warner brother,s it copyrighted, and MS does not use this type of protection. the disc's use a protection known as false TOC. simply that your drive won't pick it up, without firmware modification, or a swapping method. now DOA4 hacking on 360 aside, i had a gentlmen have a brief look at the TPR format briefly, in the first part of the header is a huge list of the files listed inside, so.. well find data location here is easy. the gentlemen successfully pulled models and textures, and imported them into 3dMAX. But sortly after my forum suffered a brutal death and all content, notes have been lost. if you want to feel like a hacker, start using a hex editor, the DDS files are plainly placed in the TPR files. and as for file names.. well i'll take a guess of the top of my head....boyXX.tpr - ElliotlisXX.tpr - LisaalpXX.tpr - kasusmi (wet and slippery)tng00.tpr - TenguspaXX.tpr - Sparten (halo chick nicole)braXX.tpr - Brad WongcriXX.tpr - CristiekorXX.tpr - Hitomirtm01.tpr - RyubayXX.tpr - BaymankasXX.tpr - kasumileiXX.tpr - LeifangayaXX.tpr - AyaneeinXX.tpr - EinjanXX.tpr - JannleehakAA.tpr - KokorohelXX.tpr - helenaand thats that, don't worry i'm 100% correct on translation, well sure.no there is or never was extra characters left in the game, but if you want to count alpha as one, then shit why not, sure. congrats, u found your proof. as for that weird audio format, i pulled some PCM's which is like a RAW wave file. but it wasn;t.. so your dobly theory sounds plausable. the best ripping method is to go to game setting turn off all audio settings, cept BGM and hook the audio to your PC, rip the audio, then you can then use the waves you ripped from the TV to do a data comparsion between the wbx or what ever files.>note i dropped DOA4 hacking, cause it is unhackable due to ms sigining shit, well you can't play it back on the 360 anyway. but just to get this crap out of your head, the formats are nothing special no encrytion of signing stuff. the thing is the XBX (xbox exacutable) it handles the file sigingAnd since all my collected data went down the shiter cause my hosting was off a buddy i met online, which then decided to close his web account with out notification. :P well can you do? eh.also yea i doa skin, ninjahacker did not really disappear. but i was never a member. i collected doa toosl via google/xboxsaves/aim people.lastly I'm glad someone pointed this thread to me.. too bad grap3fruitman, has posted to himself like 10 times@!!! and got banned from xboxscene. hopfuly you guys can come up with something to make me come back. cause this will likly be my final post unless someone has anything of interest to add. Dude, you are waaaaaaaaaaay off with that list. If RTM is Ryu Hayabusa then who the heck is RYU? Ooops!But your information on the split heads seems accurate. That would explain the kasAA.whatever and all the other guys with letters. In previous games they would have to make an entirely seperate model when all they would change was the hair. Characters who have outfits with hoods and junk (Hayabusa) would just have the head in the outfit files instead of splitting it.Okay, the list. There are 25 spots for characters in the character outfit files (including the one spot that was completely filled in with dummy data, so that makes 24 actual characters). I will bold the 22 playable characters.

your still right wtf?ok a friend made a image extractor for the TPR files, so i can easily take a peak...huh strange.. helena's mom? anastasia... old man? roland.. why would they name them all rtm and leave them with regualr charater files i wonder.Anyway that old DDS extractor wasn't ever finished, so it keeps crashuing, and onlt dumping a few dds from the rtm files, prolly due to a change in header. I'm assuming their built different to prevent playability in-game. so far i've concluded this???? = i don;t know if theres an rtm00.tpr, cause the link in the eariler post only had 1-4 but likly rtm00.tpr if roland, otherwise known as leon's bitch.rtm01.tpr = Anastasia (Helena's Mom)rtm02.tpr = ???possibly male, face texture doesn't look like an old man thortm03.tpr = ???found female blue hearted chest "guessing koroko's mom"rtm04.tpr = LOL definatly a monkey, i think i'll name him ArchieI can't remeber if that accounts for all the extra prop people.also I sorta lied about the TPR being well plain. Revisiting the format i remebered alot. A.) files are writtrn in big endian which is like doing a 32? or 16 bit swap in a hex editor. after that i don't know what else was funky inside cause i never took part in the model ripping. but all the dds textures are scrammbled. its either a matter of the file was more funky then we thought or the dds images were swizzled to go through the 360's gfx proccessor faster.anyway, good thing you posted a more complete list, this clears up alot now, doesn't it.
