Hey people, who here has the 24 game? I downloaded a PAL version ealier and when I come to boot it it's a bit of a weird thing... I need someone to clarify things for me... 1) During the opening titles, if you press START it pauses the opening titles, does it do that normally or what? Posted Image Here's me pausing on the Sony stuff.. 2) There's a selection above "New Game" called "Select Mission" is that there, or is it there from the start? (not played the game at all, blank memory card data.) Image of it: (Sorry it's shite, best I could do) Posted Image 3) At the bottom of this menu there is a selection called "Misc": Posted Image Is that there? 4) Inside the selection: Posted Image 1 selection called "Model_Shootview" or something like that, I'll check in a min... Here's the contentse of that 'folder'... Posted Image Selecting anything from there makes the game's loading icon appear in the bottom hand corner and then the game crashes, just refuses to load and gets stuck. Posted Image Loading screen. So, is any of this stuff SUPPOSED to be there or what? It's a PAL copy of the game 4.14GB or something like that, being a gig bigger than the NTSC version because it has audio for French, German and other European languages, has a PAL 50Hz, NTSC 60Hz and some other video option when booting up, but that's standard for European games... I have a video of all this stuff said above if it's worth something, I'll upload it somewhere...EDIT: It's called "shoot_modelviewer". Here's the contense in full:

the text is pretty small so excsuse any reading errors...EDIT 2: The text on the Mission select thing at the top reads: v0.0.0 Jan 10 2006. 22:06:17 it does not move, it never moves... Even though the date on my PS2 is TODAYS date. A version and build date by any chance?

That is really wierd. I haven't played the game myself but I am pretty sure that's not usual in a final game. lolproto?

I've came to the conclusion this has to be a development version. The mission select when choosing different starting points will start you under the level sometimes, they'll drop you in the middle of event scenes like the chase scene with To Shin, it drops you in the alley way but To Shin isn't there at all and you just wander about untill eventually the game just says "To Shin got away" or something like that... Wonder if this thing has other features or stuff... Other than the shoot_modelviewer stuff...

LOL OMG NEW:24 Proto glitch 1 (Sorry for crappy quality, will try and get a slightly better version soon) Level 1PM to 2PM, Kim Goes Back In... After retriving the card from Tony's office, you attempt to crawl back through the vents when... Oh... Hello... The vent is... Uhm... ... ... Cut off... And as the video shows you fall until you die. the level is not incomplete because you came that way to GET where I was... So the game must lop it off when it looses distance to render it and doesn't reload it when it should do... Or something... Anyway, yeah... =PALSO the disc's name is "24_PREMASTER19_0".

4th post in a row but... Mission select is no where to be found in the Final version of 24: the game. The game's boot up methord including START to pause the opening movies and on the TV mode selection part still happens. (annoying) The final loads saves from the prototype version I have. In the prototype the game saves THEN plays a cut-scene. In the final, it saves WHILE playing a cut-scene. Saving is longer than in the final. (Probably because it loads a cut-scene at the same time). Game does not detect the options file made from the prototype and chooses defaults, where as the prototype loads the options file. Several graphical bugs I noticed where fixed. The 6th Mission "Kim goes back in" with the glitched vent is now fixed, but where it originally cut off there is a weird longer non-shiney metalic bit in the vent where I suppose they fixed the bug... It looks like the re-did the aiming style a bit for the final, the prototype version would actually home into an enemy if he was croutching, in the final it hovers where you first locked onto the enemy, thus having to use the right analouge stick to aim. In "Kim goes back in" Kim's taser acts a little differently. It can shoot THROUGH objects. In the final, if an object gets in the way the taser doesn't go anywhere... In the prototype, the Helicopter you fight on the roof on the mission AFTER Kim Goes Back In is invincible or the health bar doesn't deplete. Other than that, the game wasn't changed much and the prototype I have must have been later in development rather than sooner. The game, from what I can tell is mostly complete... Other than the mission select itself putting me below the flooring and the Kim goes Back In glitch, I've not found any errors in the game which where major...http://www.gamefaqs....ode/927204.html If you notice underneath the invicible cheats and stuff, you'll notice you can unlock shit like models and stuff... Not sure if this is what became of "shoot_modelviewer" but I'll try some of these codes on the final and see what I get. =P

And more! I tried the security clearence codes today. If you didn't read the Gamefaqs link... You hold down L1+L2+R1+R2 for a few seconds a box pops up called "Security Clearence" inside it has: () = correct code.
Invunlnerable (BAUER066)Infinate Ammo (ALMEIDA062)All Missions (DESSLER072)All Bonuses (PALMER054)
Now... When I tried it on the Prototype version... (AAA = default, you have to hold down X and then left or right to make it change letter)
Debug Cheats  AAA (ABC)Invulnerable AAAInifnate ammo AAAAAll Missions AAAAAAAll Bonuses AAAAA
I couldn't care for the invicible codes and ammo codes really, but that Debug Cheats really does sound interesting... It's 3 letters and could be anything really... It used the whole alphabet A-Z and 0-9. If it's an obscure sting of 3 letters I've got no chance of finding the code... I've tried all 3 letter character names from 24 the game so far... Kim, Max, Jin, del, sid, CTU... None of them work... I'm currently trying to find anything in the ISO which might help me... I'll keep in touch how it goes.EDIT: Found the debug code. It was ABC. XD Anyway, now to find out how to use it. =P

Another update. Codes to the game found by myself.
Debug Cheats  ABCInvulnerable INVInifnate ammo AMMOAll Missions LEVELSAll Bonuses BONUS
It was scary how easy they where to guess after I got AMMO and BONUS... =P Debug cheats does nothing. Invinsibility does nothing, Ammo works and stays at 200 ammo when you're firing. All Missions is pointless due to the fact the mission select is there from boot up. All bonuses I haven't seen work.
