Heard the rumors? Retro apparently doing a new Donkey Kong, The Wii Hi-Fi (LOL, Hi-Fi? That term was cool like 20 years ago? 360 power? Yeah right...) and the usual Killer Instinct revival rumor. Sony didn't let much speculation since they announced FUCKING EVERYTHING already. There was some announced stuff on Microsoft's side, even Nintendo had a hard time keeping it all to themselves with the 3DS


There's also some Zelda rumor going around Link

But read their "supposed" confirmation. "The information came from a translator / german language instructor working in Kyoto who was hired at the E3 to prepare Aonuma for his speech. It is not entirely accurate that the info is from the first page of the speech. The original poster is an acquaintance of this person. The information was passed on to him via IM." Who the fuck is dumb enough to believe this shit?

So, what games are you guys hoping for? I personally want Opoona 2 and Chrono Break, but it's just not happening

Second on Rockband 3, I've been waiting on a keyboard extension for-goddamn-ever. That Wii HD rumor sounds delicious but I doubt we'll be seeing any real successors to this gen this year.

Really looking forward to Marvel vs Capcom 3 and whatever other surprises will likely catch me off guard. Nintendo's conference is supposed to be lead by Cammie this year so brace for Imagine Babies 2 and other mind blowing demos.

I can't imagine the backlash that should follow the announcement of another Nintendo system that's supposed to take the throne of the Wii. Can you imagine the outrage if it isn't backwards comptable with the stupid accessories people bought for the Wii? "Sorry, the Wii HiFi doesn't use Nunchuck controllers anymore, but thanks for buying a remote, a nunchuck, and a motion plus".

I don't believe the Wii Hi-Fi rumor at all. Even if the Wii is #1 this gen, pretty much every dev were vocal about thinking that the Wii is a joke, if they do release a new Wii with the 360 power it's gonna fail, we may get some multiplatform games but nobody is going to bother releasing something made for that console alone when the two other companies will release their new console in 2-3 years, and then Nintendo is going to back to square 1 with the same situation with the Wii ... And perhaps even worse

Thing is, they've never seemed to have any problems with "updating" their hardware.

Wii Hi-Fi with that much added power isn't a slighty different version at all, even if it was the power would make it more expensive and they'd release a new console 2 years after? That doesn't make sense

I've been using the first clunky DS model since day one. Fuck that DSi crap. You'll never be able to keep up with them.

I remember being really impressed with the DS right around launch, but ever since then its been really lackluster. They'll have to really wow me with the 3DS before I put much more investment in handhelds anymore.

Rock band 3:

Holy shit indeed IUG and others. All the floods of information in the last week have been near perfect. Drop in and out anytime, Multiple instruments (Guitar's specifically), Pro mode is definately a biggie for myself; but I won't be forking out for a pro guitar for quite some time. I'll give it 5 or so months after release before grabbing it. Backwards compatibility with music is also fantastic.

Got announced tonight. Looks interesting, we'll see what the conference throws up.

Move and PS3:

Still not a big sony fan personally. So i'll watch it from the sidelines and be all :hmm: about it, but predictions would state that they're stealing the Wii's casual crowd back as is the 360 and Natal / Kinect.

Wii, 3DS and Nintendo:

This is silly. I'm sure cammie'll be back to give us giggles and stuff. 3DS isn't that appealing from the hype around it. Wii has the vitality sensor too which should be the main feature.


Sonic stuffs:

Yeah we know someones gonna mention it. I'm looking forward to seeing what crap colo/urs gives us in Wii and DS gameplay. We already know that Sonic 4's demo of splash hill will be a newer version of what Saz has, and that it will still remain; shit.

Holy shit on the Rock Band 3 stuff as well.

I found out a few of the item's costs:
The keyboard is $80 by itself, $130 with a copy of the game. It can also be used to play the Guitar or Bass tracks on any song.
The Pro-Guitar Controller (the one with all the buttons, not the real electric guitar) is $150, I haven't figured out how much the real Guitar will cost yet.
There's a Cymbal Kit, that adds three cymbals to your RB2 set for $40
They're making a MIDI Adapter for connecting any MIDI keyboard or drum set to use in-game. I've heard it'll be $40.

I don't see the point in Nintendo making a new console. The Wii one has the potential to stay around for a few more years, if they play their cards right. Only reason I can think of that would explain them working on a new console is to make one that pleases all the "hardcore" gamers who whine and cry about Nintendo making too many casual games and all that shit.

As far as what I'm looking forward to:
- Kingdom Hearts 3 (please?)
- Epic Mickey
- Zelda Wii (those rumors are interesting...will have to see if they're true or just fan fantasies)
- Any Michael Jackson-related game(s), like the one he was reportedly working on before he died (hey, I can dream, can't I?)

Kingdom Hearts 3 for Xbox 360 is my eternal hope. Plus, backporting 1 & 2 for the Xbox 360 would be nice.

and I personally can't see Nintendo making a comeback. They've gone and made a leak for the casual gamers to all enter the collective gaming community, and they'll keep that whole there untill it shrivels up. They can shit out hardcore DK games, Zelda games, metroid, F zero whatever, but that's as far as the actual console goes. Notice anything? All 1st party games. Sigh.
