Have fun playing around in it. Apparently you can only access debug features with 4 controllers plugged in (virtually or on a real system...)

Just been fucking about with this right now:

To get the debug mode working on an emulator, you need to have a controller 'plugged in' on port 2. Holding L+R+Z on the first controller anywhere gives you a map selection mode.

Posted Image

They don't seem to be in a real order of sorts- but maps linked together with a sequential number are usually the shops of an area, the fairy fountains, or floors of a temple. Some of these are cutscenes too. You can change the day by pressing C left and right on controller one- it goes from Day One to Four, which Day Four seems to be a very glitchy, somewhat NPC-less version of Termina. No moon in the sky either. Also, C up and down change that OPT code. Anything higher than about 2 seemed to crash the game for me.

EDIT - since this picture was taken, I've figured out those 8s are. They're how many keys you have in each Temple.

Here's the debug for the start menu, where all your masks, items and quest shit is stored. You get to it by pressing start then hitting L on controller one. C up and C down on controller one change the values, as does C right and left, and to navigate, you use the D Pad on, that's right, controller one.

And a few notes:
- The Heart Piece counter goes up to 5. It just shows graphical glitches there.
- I have no idea how to activate the Giant or Adult Wallet, but you can go up to 9999 rupees nonetheless. Snapping out of the debug menu and then picking up a rupee just maxes out your wallet.
- Trying to change most of the values on the bottom seems to only change the bottom left value, which adds a white outline to the hearts. I'm also positive on the bottom right that that's the Bomber's Club number, which you need at the beginning of the game to get into the Observatory.

Apologies if there's already documentation on this out there. Just sharing what I know from literally experimenting with it for a good two hours.

I don't think anyone has been arsed to document this, or the OoT debug menu either... most beta research websites are either dead or not interested in beat research. Shame really..

But your findings are the same as mine. You forgot to mention that C-up ingame lets you move Link on all Axis (a/b - updown, Dpad is x and c-l/r is y.. i think)

Nothing major. I think the game does this automatically when you get two rows of hearts.

Sometime this summer I'm considering picking up flashcarts for some various systems, I might try to find an N64 one so I can take this apart on real hardware!

Damn you're good! I was also dissapointed in the lack of beta stuff, guess setting the counter to 'day 4' kinda counts I guess but they just may be so they can test various game things without any time limit or time activated events.

Is there a simular list for the Ocarina of time debug menu?

(unreleated, how do you active the debug object viewer that's in the youtube vid?)

Not that I know of. I wouldn't mind knocking one up tomorrow though.

The debug camera? That's controlled by a controller in the 3P port. You hit Start to activate it, but I've not managed to find anything else outside of moving around.

Oh cool, thanx for that. Shame there isin't more debug stuff. Super Monkey Ball on the other hand, that debug mode is more indepth than the smash bros melee one!

Again, thanx for the great info and thanx to whoever dumped the rom, the world/internet is a better place because of you :3
