A local shop has this and wasn't too sure how to go about pricing it; the game probably bites but they know it might have value due to its obscurity.

They do a lot of old toys and videogames and they're a fair business, I told them I'd see if I could find some kind of answer for them.

Any help, guys? No clue where to turn even.

It's a crappy chinese unlicensed game. It's in goodgen as Earth Defend, The (Unl) [!]
Not really worth much.
