Nevertheless, it seems Sega's provoking the Sonic Cycle to work with making the fanbase drool over the playable characters.

And i'm willing to bet high money the BIG BONUS on friday is either a trailer (with still no gameplay) or a screenshot / concept art / new art for Sonic.

Hoooly crap. This is beyond stupid now. Why was I, we, ever a part of this retarded fanbase. It sickens me to be even associated with fuckers like Sega who go around making their STUPIDLY ABUSED fanbase of the last decade by dangling trailers above their heads like food to a starving puppy. Seriously, I laughed hard when the fanbase wasn't awarded their shitty "bonus point" yesterday on the OFFICIAL SONIC FORUMS. Shows how much the fanbase actually cares. If only every single fan of Sonic, past and present, were to just go to Sega and say "Actually, fuck YOU." and just simply ignore every trailer, game demo or whatnot of Needlemouse.

I mean seriously, come on, who's not expecting either a screen shot, trailer, or even a declaration of name tomorrow REGARDLESS of bonus points total awarded crap. They'll just go "OH OK YOU CAN HAVE IT ANYWAY SEEING AS WE'RE SO GREAT"

Why are you still going to do this, though? If you really are that irate with the current state of affairs, then caving in and buying the next product that comes along for whatever reason is counter-productive to your ideals. I used to be in the stage where I still liked Sonic and would buy every game that came out but I still knew that the games were losing their touch. Ever since I became the jaded, cynical lurker I am now, I've completely stopped buying Sonic games. The last one I bought was Sonic Unleashed and even that was only because I heard it had some redeeming qualities and I wanted to see it for myself.

After being fooled this many time there's just no way we can trust Sega. Even if they manage to do a old school Sonic game with just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles there's a high chance oft hem screwing it up with stupid gimmicks. And even if they actually succeed (highly unlikely) it won't be better than the good old sonic games.
