So, a few weeks ago, I began a small project. My goal was to find any and all media relating to Dinosaur Planet, before it's transformation into "StarFox Adventures". Luckily, through the magic of the Wayback Machine (really amazing thing actually) & really hard searching, I created the media archive posted below. Take a look at the "ReadMe!.rtf" file once you download the archive. It goes into much greater detail about the project (too long to post here). If you have any media that's not included in it, feel free to shoot me a PM, or, just post a link or the image itself. The links are listed below. Enjoy!

http://www.mediafire.com/?1mdymwjmzmy "Dinosaur_Planet_Media.sitx" version, about 150MB
http://www.mediafire.com/?yog0yzokddz "Dinosaur_Planet_Media.zip" version, about 150MB (should be more compatible with various OS's)

I'm sure you've been here already, right?

Anyway, downloading and inspecting...

EDIT: Wow, I'm damn impressed! Nice work! Should add it to the X-CulT database!

Thanks! I'm trying to do a bit more research before adding it to the X-Cult database

So, here's the new zip archive. It has about 70MB of new stuff. Just wanted to point this out, apparently my "dplanet1.mov" video cuts out after 13 seconds >_< So, just copy the video located in "Dinosaur_Planet_Media_New/Movies/". It's the same exact video, just a fully playable video. Again, there's some text files with credits for the carious pieces of media.

So, this should be it. Pretty much all of the Dinosaur Planet-related media that's out there on the net. If anyone has anything that is not located in the new zip archive (and the original one that I uploaded) please feel free to shoot me a pm, post it here or just post the link to it.

The new zip file is about 80MB. Enjoy!

You could, you know, do the site a favor and put this on the Egg. I kinda get the impression you're letting people download so they can do it, so please, for the sake of this site, upload and add some stuff that you have. :P

I'm sorry if that's the impression that you're getting. That was not my intention. The reason that I've just been uploading it to mediafire is because I was just trying to start a discussion about Dinosaur Planet. I honestly didn't even think about adding stuff to the Egg. I wasn't trying to get other people to do this work instead of me. That never crossed my mind. I'm sorry if people got this impression of me. I can try adding some stuff to the Egg tomorrow (gonna be out of town most of today).

Luckily the X-Egg has a nice feature where you can put all your media into a .zip and upload it all at once.

I used to hack this game for old files.

If you read the memory, it contains a SHITLOAD of old text that is from the n64 game.
It has some code left over that could probably run on a 64 emulator. Dobly stuff for n64 as well as old menu codes.
I beleive someone actually took the files from the archives and got a bit into them.

I got into some areas you can't normally get in at one time by filetree editing.
Then the game does this BS thing where you get frozen.
Anyways, there is some good stuff in here.

You have officially made me redownload my gcn lan debugging tools to see what I can contribute to thiis thread

AWESOME! Yeah, I included a few test dump analysis files in the first archive. Was there really enough leftover N64 code to run? Either way, pretty awesome

Edit, because I don't know why I hit the damn quote button when his post is right above mine.

I actually did find some more things: 2 new pics of the Dinosaur Planet E3 2000 Booth & some more E3 2000 demo impressions. I've uploaded this last zip file & I'm calling it a day on this little side project of mine. Pretty sure I've found everything on the net (except for those missing screenshots that I mention in the ReadMe!.rtf file) Will start adding some of this stuff to the Egg this weekend (been kinda busy with real life crap lately)

http://www.mediafire.com/?zdzimn5yymw Dinosaur_Planet_Media_Archive_new_work.zip 1MB

Enjoy!

Rare is actually pretty funny with their programming.

They left some things in the dialog files probably when they were testing the subtitles.

This is nothing major though.

I plan on making a huge script dump later.

I believe the entire dump is at the Krystal Archives... including Dino translations.

I'm not talking game script. I'm talking every piece of code I can get output from a debugger.
