Somewhat, yeah. Problem is that a lot of the time they'll use the exact same insults over and over for different situations too. Bastard in every other bubble would be boring after awhile, and probably isn't really the exact english equivalent anyway. Hell, lots of resources will use the same few english words for a wide range of BR insults too. But yes, there is definately swearing going on, but we do sometimes play with it a tiny bit to keep it interesting. Sometimes bastard will be bastard, sometimes it'll just be jerk.

Not wanting to bump an old thread (if that is an issue here), but if you guys still need to translate some issues I could be of assistance, I know portuguese. Also, this thread dug some (bad) memories that I had from Mega Man when I read this THING. In case you guys didn't know, one of the writers were fired around issue 5 because he intented to kill all the main characters so taht the Princess would take over the comic, which was his original intention on making the comic.

We are in fact still working on this. Stop by #opentrain on irc if you'd like to discuss helping out. Current plan is to get through a first revision of the issues, then try and go-over them a second time to see if stuff that didn't make sense before makes sense now that we have more context etc. if you are a native, you will likely find plenty of things we could improve on and we'd welcome such assistance.
If you want to dive into doing something right away, you can proofread our translations of the existing issues, or take a stab at doing the letters pages and stuff like that we skipped.
