ok kiddo i scored it. At the moment I have no dumping setup, but I'm going to get a snega once they get that going.
Did you have a chance to dump the SRAM from that Xband yet?
Also, an indy game developer named Laguna Krazy is currently working on creating an emulator that in essence emulates Xband. Head to head gaming, xmail, stats, etc, and they're calling it Xband 2.0 They post periodic updates on another forum. Here's the link of you care to see what's up:

If anyone need pictures of anything that is included with the Genesis Xband Modem, I have a factory still sealed version ready to unbox if you need it.
EDIT - I had it in a easy to get it place so here goes -
Here is the modem, with factory stickers and everything.
Opening the box, we find this:

Heck, they even had stamped signatures for all the developers:
Closeup shots of the exterior of the modem:

From the Manual, these are the guys to contact for more info if you can find them -

The Cartridge has 4 T8 Torx screws holding it together - here is whats inside:
It has the following chipsets -
Rockwell R6642-14, chipset for the 1200 baud modem
Catapault Fred4S 4451 - custom chip, Maybe a sync program or hidden sram?
Winbond 24257S-70L - chipset for the 1200 baud modem
MX 21956A - Rom
There is sram onboard somewhere, maybe embedded into the catapult chip, because of the lithium battery.
Amphenol Card slot - I have no idea, maybe a cable-card or sim card slot?
Let me know if you need anything else. I do have a megacart programmer from a while ago - not sure if the software will read it though if you need a rom of it.
