Being doing research on various Sega Mega Drive games looking for decompression routines used in certain games, and found a couple of them.Shinobi 3 - Return of the Ninja Master (U) [!] starts at 3F8A and ends at 3FE2 A very simple routine. Thanks goes to drx who cracked the routine and made a decompressor for it. http://rapidshare.co.../MusashiDec.ziphttp://www.filefacto.../MusashiDec_zipStreets of Rage 3 (U) [!] located at 1452Comix Zone (4) [!] located at 1CEBDA (the actual routines starts at 1CEAD4) ends at 1CBCC2at 1CBC88 it moves a word from a0 (current address of compressed art) into d0. If the value in d0 is 0000 it means its the end of the compressed art so it branches to 1CBCC212516A - 125C78 SEGA Logo125C78 - 125CF8 Pallette for SEGA LogoSoleil (E) (English)(Crusader of Centy) starts at 363FC ends at 366A6at 3669A it compares a3 (current postion of compressed art) with a1(end of compressed art) if its equal the routine ends Alien Soldier (A) starts at 294E ends at 2ABARocket Knight Adventures (U) [!] located at 608CHoping someone can use this info to make decompressors/compressors for these fantastic games

You might want to explain for the lesser educated what it is you've done.

Perhaps it'd help if you put a little more information into the thread and told us when the routine ends.

Basically.... all these routines are used to decompress compressed art like Nemesis and Kosinski routines used to decompress art in Sonic games

A little off-topic, but does anyone know how to go about decompressing the art in Kolibri (32X)? There is some beautiful art in that game...
