Debug enabled roms

How many hacks out there activate the debug mode in various roms/rips? I need Sonic 2-knuckles for starters, but i'm starting a collection of these.

well yeah i wanna now how to enable debug with out doing to cheat on sonic 2

Lots of games have debug CODES, but built-in hacks not so much I don't think. Or is that what you plan to do?
