And if they manage to? I mean, they already got them ripped, they got the textures, they got the Super forms. It's only a matter of time for them to even get Eggman's Robots, Items, maybe even Stages, then rig them fully.

SH Models were rigged 2 years waaaay back, by a user named ??UnKnOwN?? . To this day... Nobody's even tryed to improve the very models (better rigs, implementing source expresions,...). Let alone import any custom models then ??UnKnOwN?? himself did. The huge Replies/View number in the thread is due to their "contribution" with their so-called reskins, comics & their comments about their daily life.Looks like the mods dig the thread for some reason, I dunno. Must be a fetish or somethin'. (or their just plain fucking lazy)

Well, Silver was now rigged by "Sarah" on facepunch - I tested him, there's much effort put into him ... I stay at my opinion I do like him the form he is right now in the game and I can just hope we won't see any stupid Silver recolors ("Gold" is coming I'll tell you) - but they'll probably definitely come :(I just repeat myself: While I applaud all decent work being put into those models like:-rigging-animatinggetting them playable in other game engine...I hate people:-doing stupid recolors and then tell people they have a new character-taking apart models like putting Tails' head on a robot (which has happened before)I silently ignore people doing things like shiny Sonic or similar - while these are texture edits and technically recolors, people most of the time didn't intend to create new characters, just styling them the way they like.. which is acceptable up to a specific point in my opinion!Add: I just stole a screencap..Posted ImageThink whatever you want....

Eyeposing? neat. This is refreshing from static eye's from the SH models. Still, mayor props when somebody will actually implement facial & lipsync animations, that's where the Source engine really shines. But I guess for those features, the cutscene actors would definately come into play instead of the game/player models.

I just got GarrysMod a few hours ago to dick around with some friends, but I have no idea how to get new models and shit in GMod. Can anyone explain? Also, I'm still looking for that old package of ripped textures from the demo. I'm still doing some retexturing on Sonic R.

basically when you download shit.. just unpack it to a sample directory. Then check out what format the contents of the ZIP are. Many ZIPs just contain one folder. If this folder contains the file info.txt this is an addon package. In that case take the whole folder and put it in [steam folder]\SteamApps\[your steam name]\garrysmod\garrysmod\addonsIf it doesn't seem to be an addon, it might have the folders models, maps, materials or similar. Then you need to put it in the root folder of GMod which is [steam folder]\SteamApps\[your steam name]\garrysmod\garrysmod\ (I personally like addons better.. do three clicks and uninstll them). Maps (bsf files) go to [steam folder]\SteamApps\[your steam name]\garrysmod\garrysmod\maps - for other content.. it might depend.. sometimes it's bad addons are easy to install but most people are unable to create them (I most of the time always convert downloaded stuff to addons)

put the headcrab on Silver and happy.. GMod is made of randomness so do whatever you want. The picture was actually just used to demonstrate eye posing I guess.

Now that Sonic NextGen Models rip is released to the public, I guess that means that lots of faggots will use them to make more Fancharacters Models.

I can do pretty much anything for the source engine right now. When I was doing the Heroes ports, I wasn't too familiar with source. If you look at some of my later ports, I have eyeposing, faceposing, etc... implemented. I could be doing all these Next Gen ports but I really don't have a lot of time away from college. I'm hoping to take some game design courses there but right now I'm majoring in Graphic Design. I've actually used some of my own GMOD screenshots in some of my designs. ;)The source engine doesn't really get the attention it deserves. It is easy to mod and it's my favorite game engine.
