I finally converted my hack to a split disassembly, thanks to the urging of Stealth to do so. Here's some screens so far...Posted ImageSonic 2 Options screen in Sonic 1, edited for my hack. Thank Stealth for that one.Posted ImageMighty in GHZ.Posted ImageShadow in SLZ. Enough angst for you? =PPosted ImageYes this is omfg perfect spindash in S1, dust and all. Thank Stealth again for that one.Features as of now include:- Seperate music for each act- S2 level select and options menus edited to fit with my hack (Stealth)- Perfect Spindash for each character (Stealth)- 3 Characters: Sonic, Mighty and Shadow -- Each later to have thier own special move and physics stats. Thanks to Yuski for Mighty sprites and JohnnyUK for Shadow sprites.- Sonic 2 running physics -- Run down a slope in SLZ and you'll go as fast as you do in CPZ. AKA slope related acceleration. Pretty awesome... I guess that if you want to do something for Shadow you might do a Knuckles-esque hover thing using rocket skates.

Like i said last time i saw this topic, I think this will be a really great game to play once it's ready ;) I like the fact that each act has it's own BGM, and having 3 character's should give the game a good replay value.I can't wait to play it!

Yeah, that's fixed. These are relatvely old screens, and I've done a fair bit since then.I added all my pallettes from my previous version, so I may get screens of that soon.

I'm just trying to finalise some details, since the original version of it lacked detail, due to the fact it was made up of about 20 tiles at most. I still need to sort out where Chrome Gadget is going though, and I was thinking of giving Desert Palace a go as well. I'll need to speak to you about it, but i've been to drunk to come online really =P

It's amazing how you can do that background with palette restrictions. See, why can't Sega do it like that?[/quote]You won't believe how many times I had to rethink the palette to get all that to work. Getting the colours on the right lines so they can be combined in a tile, while minimising the number of times a colour is repeated can take a while, as can getting the palette true to the original. I had to shuffle it all around quite a bit until eventually I managed to fit them all together, and i've still got 3 colours left on palette line 3 to play with. I might try and fix these for rotation and add waterfalls and stuff.

A sunset hill type level I see? I tried to make one once and it was pretty good acctually (Well, the palatte was), but I stopped the hack because I'm lazy as shit.

He's referring to the centisecond timer, not the zone. That zone won't even be there for much longer, Azure Lake will be.
