And to start off I'll write that I have both IIDX Happy Sky and IIDX DistorteD hard drive images on my laptop right now (20GB+) and have Pump It Up NX's hard drive downloading.Speaking of Pump It Up, I've just cleared both Dignity, and Canon-D on Nightmare mode, barless. You can blow me.Now that I've successfully alienated every CulTist, post music game stuff here.

My gf got me Guitar Hero for Christmas (albeit early) and I love it, being a guitar player myself.

I started playing DDR back in about August, got pretty obsessed down at my local arcade and ended up spending god knows how much on it.I still however, suck. I'm currentlly moving onto Standard mode on Stepmania after ages of playing Light. I play mostly for fun tbh. Guitar Hero rocks mind, though I'm too cheap to buy it so I play Frets On Fire.

Mad Maestro, Amplitude and Gitarooman were all top fun. Samba de Amigo would have cost me an arm + leg so I didn't buy it. However I DO suck at Space Channel 5. Can't get beyond level 1 =P Ace game though, and fabulous retro music.I didn't like DDR. The game rewards you for stepping on blocks, not your actual dance style. I'd use my hands and it couldn't tell the difference. Now if they could come up with something that scores your actual dancing performance that'd be ace!

I played it today, and Thunderhorse from Deathklock (bonus track from Metalocalypse) is pretty good.

Paul, you son of a bitch. You just had to be randomly talking about beatmania a few months back and get me interested enough to buy the US version http://img450.images...hpim0343gu5.jpgAh well, just another month to play a game that so far has been awesome :P

So I tried Guitar Hero for the first time today. I'm a bit poor at it. In the future, I'll stick to the capitalist goodness that is Parappa the Rapper. That, or failing a bit less hard at some ancient version of Beatmania they seem to have forgotten and left in the Trocadero. We won't even mention the attempt at Pump It Up that I made one rainy afternoon in Southend.Anyone here played Cool Cool Toon?

I went out and bought GH2 today (yes, it kinda takes the fun out of Christmas when you're given money and told to buy your own presents, doesn't it =P), along with a slimline PS2 (retiring my old one. I need the space, and the slimline has both more features & a disc mechanism that's less likely to break), and now I have to live for the next week knowing there's GH2 in the house and I can't play it =(Thank god for my new Frets on Fire TV setup...

I humbly recommend that all of you buy the bonus song Jordan as soon as you can, and play it through on Training, Expert difficulty so you can't fail.I want to hear your jaws drop.
