So, apparently, those odd and senseless vocals from the European/Japanese release of Sonic CD were actually sampled ("taken") from some other songs, especially the Boss music:

A relatively unknown early 80's disco/funk group, "Xavier," recorded a song in 1981 titled "Work That Sucker To Death."
Compare it at 0:17 seconds, to the Sonic CD Boss music at 0:07 seconds. I've tried splitting the track between left and right stereo, and found that Sega didn't do too good of a job at attempting to remove the background music: the clapping sound at the start of the word 'sucker' in the actual song can still be faintly heard in the boss music when filtering the track (which might explain why there is so much going on in this song at once). If they did indeed use more samples in other songs, they might of probably taken it from this compilation album that was created around the same time as Sonic CD -- I haven't gone through every song on there, though.

Also, maybe it's me, but the beginning of the track for Metallic Madness (Bad Future), sounds an awful lot like the beginning of the Axel F theme from Beverly Hills Cop... compared to the background song of the aforementioned stage.

Impressive. Can't say it's a coincendence to be honest. But it's still no means to say that all music in Sonic CD is related to another some where else in the world (Which can be said for S3, as majority of them still have idiots trying to find the slightest comparison between all the songs available).

Nevertheless, the Sonic CD Boss theme DEFINATELY, in my opinion, does have the, what's the word, sample, identicle to that of "Work that sucker to Death, Come on!"

EDIT: Looking at the comments, it appears PPAChao's already came across this. :P

From what I remember, the 'Work That Sucker To Death' sample was on a Norman Cook/Fatboy Slim sample CD that was released around the same time Sonic CD was in production. I wouldn't be suprised if all the other samples that can be referenced to other tracks from Sonic CD were also on the same sample CD as Norman Cook is a nortorious sampler of old records. Does anyone here still have the file that came from the Norman Cook CD?

The very last sample that can be heard in the Boss music was also ripped from another known track. This is similar to what happens in the Sonic Rush BGM, now that I think of it...

Not Sonic CD, but somewhat related. This song from UK Rap artist, Sway Dasafo, uses the Sonic 1 bonus stage music in this song. Think i posted this before but i don't think anyone cared.

wow.. reminds me of the local Chavs! They all try to sound like that.

It's quite an odd, though interesting song. Has anyone got a good quality mp3?

Despite that bass being extremely out of key, this is kind of cool. You know, overlooking the hardcore gangsta rap and all that.

Fuck, the bass is way off.
Quite interesting, though I couldn't listen to more than 30 seconds of the song =P

I don't hear any hardcore gangster rap, did you even listen to the words? Not that the words are important to this topic.

I usually ignore lyrics in a song unless they're really good (HEY THERE LOVE CRUSADER, I WANT TO BE YOUR SPACE INVADER). Besides that, all I heard was a generic beat that is in every goddamn rap song on the face of the earth. As far as I'm concerned, any song that can't put any respectable amount of effort into thinking out a percussion track is absolute shit by default.

That's sadly the case when a producer can't program any higher than 4 divisions in a beat. Also, the drums sound like they come from a eJay preset. Their Wikipedia page looks like it's been self-written too.
