Probably one of the best Xbox Live Arcade game I've played. But this game has been in development for a while. I mean, look at the above concept art. But it's not just the game's final visualizations that are awe inspiring. The whole game's plot is amazing when you figure out what it's really about. Here's your last chance to turn away from the plot stuff if you haven't beat it yet: It's about inventing, detonating, and regretting the atomic bomb.

I remember seeing this game in some magazines for previews, so I'll have to check what else has changed.

I agree, the game is damn amazing. I'm amazed whenever I hear some Gearheads or Halofags say its a "Gay looking Prince of Persia wannabe". I tried to explain some of the levels to a friend of mine, and I simply couldn't. Sad that the game is so short. Extremely short actually. I'm not even going to try to get the last achievement- the 45 minute speedrun.

Edit- FUCKING Wireless connection bullshit.

Anyway. I believe I remember seeing/reading more early gameplay of the game from somewhere, though, I'm not sure where exactly. I'm gonna look around a bit.

Fuck best arcade game, this is one of the best games I've played, ever. It's amazing in so many ways and so far I've only played the trial. (Was going to buy it, but it meant I would have to buy 2000 MS points for £19 for the 1200 MS Point game... Fuck that. There needs to be a way to buy this game for the 1200 MS Points then get a redemption code to input to the marketplace, get it that way. MS' way is fucking stupid.)

The picture above is probably quite an accurate depiction of what the game used to be like. You have to remember that the game was made basically by one guy. Art was then done by another guy, music by several others and another guy worked on the whole time mechanics if the credits are anything to go by. That's not particularly a bad thing, the whole game idea, design and story are top-notch. Art, music and the time mechanics just seals the deal. The game seems short, but for £8; 5-6 hours seems reasonable. Hell, I paid £50 for Halo 3 and that lasted me 6 hours on Normal. (Probably over 100 hours by now, given all the online matches I've had + completing the game with friends on various difficulties but hey.)

Anyone find anything else, post away. I'm still collecting all you people are posting, with X-Egg coming up, I don't want to update the site. Hopefully all of the content should be added when X-Egg launches.

You're right, I am skipping out on the topic I created. Here's my attempt to fix that.

Here's that boss in final form:

Here's a lot of concept pictures.

The beams of light coming from the books are just rays, no particle effects.

Here's an easy first piece of the puzzle. Below is the final version.

Another part of that level that's been changed.

Here's a slightly different Hunt! level. It's basically just the door that's different. There's no icons for the goombas, and it puffs into air when it opens.

That god damn slow cloud isn't here. Granted, this could be about an hour into that level and it could be to the right, but this is from a video of this level, and it was never anywhere in the level.

Also from the video, the rewind time seems to invert the colors, or at least make the background purple when time is rewinding, instead of fading to black and white.

Not gonna change. This way, Microsoft gets more money than you'd have spent otherwise.

IUG: Awesome. Some of those screens look like they're taken from a video? Do you have that video? I'd love to see it.

Overlord: I understand WHY, doesn't mean they should. Money grabbing bastards. I already pay over the odds for Xbox Live subscription which should be free.

The video was from a gamespot video. I wish I could figure out how to grab the .flv file from it, but I haven't (and haven't tried it again). I'm pretty sure it was from gamespot, it's from whoever's associated with GameFAQ's video section.
SSUK
I could probably dig out the flv file. Although I'm pretty sure there's a page off Google where someone's already cracked where the videos are stored/how to get them.

Since there's just one guy who made the game, if we could find a contact email for him, we could get potentially shit loads of information off him. I'll look into this...

Free Music Zilla rips Gamespot videos fine (and does the same with basically any other streaming format). Just wait until after the ads and the flv will pop-up for download.

That reminds me, I used to have a plugin for Firefox that allowed me to easily rip FLV videos, but a recent computer upgrade had me formatting my hard drive and I can't seem to remember what said plugin was called. Its logo was three circles, red, blue and yellow (or green, forgot) that spun when a video could be downloaded. Anyone happens to know what I'm talking about?

Well that's embarrassing. But hey, thanks for the help.

No need for the link to Google though, I happen to know the website, believe it or not. I just used different search terms.
IUG
So... did anyone save the images? I kindof deleted my temp files, and I didn't know that the braid stuff was in that, instead of the /cult/ folder on my server.
khorney
btw SMR, flashgot has a plugin in it's new version that catch's .flv's too...
SSUK
Shit. Forgot to save these. Out of all the ones to forget, it has to be the lot which go down before it's added. Don't worry about it though, IUG. I'm sure they're floating around on the internet somewhere.

oh GOD I WANT TO READ THE BLACK TEXT SO BAD.

I need to bite the bullet and just fucking buy it.

Time Machine is awesome. I looked up the date I made this post, went into Time Machine, and looked at my desktop folder around that time. Sure enough, August 16th I had those pictures on my desktop. Now I've restored them. EDIT: Haw, I just got the irony/coincidence in getting these files back through Apple's Time Machine. Anyways, here's he photos again.

Here are some of the pictures that I mentioned before in my second post.

Slight differences.

I don't think I put this one up before. It's the final boss fights scenario, to compare it to a MS Paint looking concept art picture.

And here's three more shots I found that I might have mentioned before:
