So, I bought that thing.
Well, it's a terrible GBC pirate of Sonic 1. When the game starts, you see the artwork of Sonic Gems Collection with "Sonic World the land adventure". After pushing "start", there is a GBC version of Sonic 1's title screen.
The game begins in Spring Yard Zone, not entirely the same as we know, the layout is different. Controls are awful. I couldn't even get past SYZ act 3.
But I watched the demos after the title screen. There are Green Hill, Labyrinth and Marble zones at least...and the Green Hill zone reminds me of this pirate: http://www.sonic-cult.org/dispart.php?cati...d=1&artid=1

The links work fine for me; how the hell this crap ever gets made is beyond my train of thought, pirate copys and hacks can be done so much better than this.

Pirates don't exactly have high standards, that's how this crap gets made. The process is pretty much find a thing, put it on a cart, sell it to suckers or cheap markets, possible profit.

Anyone have a ROM of that Sonic 3D Blast 5 pirate? It looks oddly fun...

It's as some have already suggested probably just PocketNES with the NES ROM on a GBA cartridge. Try pressing L + R, that should bring up a menu to change emulator settings.

Also, I have a similar pirate like that. It's called Super Luigi Advance and it's basicly PocketNES with a hacked Super Mario Bros. ROM on a GBA cartridge. I can scan the box art and the manual if you guys want me to (they both feature a lot of Engrish). For those interested, I dumped the cartridge some time ago when I was bored. Before you post again, please look up the meaning of humour and joke. Please also direct yourself to the rules and allow me to introduce you to the timestamp on every post. When you post in a topic with over a months worth of inactivity, that's fine... If you have a valid reason to. Your shoddy attempt at humour is never going to be a valid reason.

Yeah, I ignored it the first time I saw this, but the above pretty much sums up what I should have said. Granted it wasn't bad enough to piss me off but it's a fine line until that happens.

To be fair though, yes, it's over a month old, but it would still've been on the first page. How is he, a newcomer, supposed to know that this forum is so dead that topics two thirds of the way down the first page count as being "omg anshent :o dun tuch!"? Oh, I agree Stoko. Which is why I'm not trying to lynch him. I'm just giving him a generic heads-up, nothing malicious intended. If he continues on the same course, however, things may change.
