RULES OF THE CULT

READ THIS ENTIRE THING, SHITHEAD

Why hello there, and welcome to the X-Cult Community Forums! We're just so glad that you decided to join us, we can hardly contain our excitement! But before you begin what I'm sure will be an absolutely spectacular career in posting, there are some basic guidelines that you need to follow if you don't want to be sent packing. Without further ado, the X-Cult Board Rules:

1. NO FURRIES, EVER.
This seriously cannot be emphasized enough. If you've found us through Sonic Cult, please realize that we are not another awful Sonic fansite. We're here for hardcore game research and hacking. We're not interested in your "fursona", or your shitty recolors, or your lameass fanfiction. Don't bring that retarded shit in here. If we see anthro/furry/recolor bullshit in your avatar or signature, or any other evidence of you being a furry, you're getting suspended for a week at the very least. Actually, you'll probably just be permabanned. We don't want your kind here.

2. USE ENGLISH, AND USE IT PROPERLY.
Proper spelling/caps/grammar/punctuation are all important when discussing something. Don't make a habit of using text/1337 bullshit, and learn to spellcheck. Make your posts coherent and legible whenever possible.

3. X-CULT IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES.
You don't have to worry about watching your language/content here -- we don't give a fuck. Swearing is fine as is porn, etc; we don't care. Just don't post stupid crap. See below.

4. USE COMMON SENSE.
While we're pretty lax with regards to content/language, it's important to use your brain when posting. Don't spam, troll or otherwise shitpost. Flaming is allowed, but you do it entirely at your own risk, so you better be damn sure it's justified. Lurking helps you get an idea of what will get you in trouble. Again, see below.

5. LURK BEFORE POSTING!
Quite possibly the most important rule. The cult has been around a while, and there's tons of history, unique people, inside jokes and what have you. Simply lurking and watching what behavior is accepted here could quite possibly be the difference between being a well-established and respected member, and being a plaything for the mods/admins to laugh at before they give you the boot.

6. KNOW YOUR DAMN ROLE:
The Cult has only a few, easy-to-understand groups, they are as follows:
Cult Members: The basic group, comprising the vast majority of users. Everyone starts here.

Cult Family: An elite group of awesome members who have gained a lot of respect in one way or another. They get special treatment, and have some perks that your average member doesn't.

Cult Posse: Global Mods. Posse can fuck your shit up in a variety of exciting ways, including but not limited to: warnings, account suspensions, and even permanent bans. Don't fuck with us.

Admins: Forum administrators. At the time of this writing, Sazpaimon and PACHUKA are the ones running the show. Beta is an admin as well, although less active than the other two.

Validating: Wannabe members who have managed to somehow not validate their god damn account. Ignore these.

TRUE SONIC FANS: Banned users. If you see one of these fucking idiots, be sure to check out why they were banned and don't repeat their mistake!

The important thing to remember is not to piss off anyone higher on the food chain than you. This doesn't mean you should kiss ass; just chillax with us, be a quality poster, and show respect. If a mod/admin instructs you to do something, it's in your best interest not to argue with them. It should also go without saying that you shouldn't ask to become Family, etc.

7. MISCELLANEOUS CRAP
As stated before, basic common sense applies. Don't have a stupidly big signature, don't make a habit of breaking the tables, don't fuck with people above you, avoid posting in the wrong forum. You know, all the really obvious stuff.

Also, be sure to hang out in our IRC channel:

And stop by our imageboard while you're at it:

Enjoy your stay and keep out of trouble!
